In hardly any other industry will you receive such comprehensive training as in the hotel business. You work directly with our guests – for example at the front desk, in service and sales – or you make sure behind the scenes, in reservations or housekeeping, that our guests enjoy a first-class stay. Training as a hotel management assistant prepares you for your role as a leader of tomorrow.

You learn how to deal with the most diverse guests and give them an unforgettable stay. At the front desk and in reservations you help advise and look after guests and sell overnight stays and services. Of course, you also gain an insight into operational channel, revenue, and interface management.

In another phase of your training you support banquet sales with the organization and running of events. You also get a brief insight into housekeeping, cleaning and inspecting the guest rooms.

In the restaurant area you learn how to serve food and drinks correctly in the restaurant, at the bar, and in banquet service, and you look after your guests at breakfast or in à la carte service at lunchtime or in the evening. We also show you which tasks belong to F&B management and how to instruct and lead team members.

Do you love to cook and want to turn your favorite hobby into your profession? As a chef with us, you are responsible not only for preparing dishes but also for costing and organizing menu sequences and meal plans. Training as a chef prepares you for your role as a leader of tomorrow.

During your training you learn how to prepare dishes from plant-based foods, meat, and fish and how to use them sustainably. We teach you all kitchen techniques, such as the various cooking methods, and professional working practices.

Later on you gain insights into cost control, inventory management, and kitchen organization, and you take on preparatory work in service and guest care. The HACCP guidelines show you how to maintain professional hygiene standards.

We also show you which tasks belong to F&B management and how to instruct and lead team members.

We are a training company for the DHBW in the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration – Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Management (B.A.) with a specialization in hotel and restaurant management at the Ravensburg campus. This degree program makes it possible to combine theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the best possible way.

Theory and practical phases alternate from semester to semester. The program combines business knowledge with the know-how acquired during the practical semesters, develops personal and management skills, and provides ideal preparation for starting your career. The program lasts three years at DHBW Ravensburg, with integrated practical phases at Seegut Zeppelin.

Requirements for the program are a university or university of applied sciences entrance qualification, or successfully completed advanced vocational training, plus successful admission to DHBW. In addition, you are an independent and responsible person distinguished by reliability, flexibility, and a service-oriented attitude. Are you a passionate host, and do your friends know that whenever you invite them over, something is always going on? You also have very good spoken and written German and English and are a motivated, communicative team player.

After successfully completing your studies, our 15-month Management Trainee Program offers a promising start to your career. Graduates have the opportunity to enter the hotel industry in a holistic way, with three-month project assignments in various departments. This gives you a varied combination of different areas. You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in hotel, tourism, or culinary management, have already gained initial professional experience in the hotel industry, and have developed a passion for our industry through your strong sense of service.

Very good German and English skills are an advantage at the very least. You are also confident using MS Office applications. A structured way of working, independence, and the ability to work in a team are prerequisites.
